How to register as a Bexar County vendor
Bexar County sends bid notifications by commodity code. Register once, pick the right codes and the County's notices come to you.
Updated October 22, 2026
Bexar County Purchasing uses an Infor (Lawson) Supplier Portal. According to the County's Supplier Portal / Vendor Registration page, registering gets you automatic bid notifications for the commodity codes you select, and it is also required for payment. You'll need a signed W-9 for payments.
Step by step (from the County's instructions)
- From the Supplier Portal page, choose Register as a Supplier and accept the Terms and Conditions.
- Create your account. The user name is case-sensitive, with no spaces or special characters. The County suggests not using a personal name, because it can't be changed if that employee leaves.
- Enter your details and company information in CAPITAL LETTERS, as the instructions ask.
- Demographic codes: select one each for ethnicity, disability, gender and business size, or "Do Not Wish to Disclose".
- Commodity codes: search by keyword. A 3-digit top-level code notifies you for everything under it. A 5-digit sub-code is narrower. This step decides which bid notices you get.
- Optionally add proxy notifications so a coworker also gets the emails (proxies can't submit).
- Note your Supplier Number when registration completes.
